Transportation
All students are transported to Arrowhead by bus. Children should ride their assigned buses all year. Any deviation from this procedure is to be approved by the principal. This includes those children who go to a baby sitter's house after school. Students should arrive at the bus stop no more than five minutes before the bus arrives. Inappropriate behavior can lead to suspension of bus riding privileges.
AES Bus Schedule

Office Communication, Student Work, and Assignments
All general communication from the office will be sent on green paper. This color will be used throughout the year to make office communication easily identified. Teachers will send student work home on Fridays. Student assignments will be sent home nightly. Grades one and two will record assignments in the FFO (Folder for Organization). Grades three through five will record assignments in their student planner.

Fund Raisers
As an ongoing effort to provide educational and technological items for the school, we participate in several programs that directly benefit the children of our school

	Buy qualifying student school supplies at Office Depot and designate our school to receive 5% of your qualifying purchase to be used for free supplies.  Our school's ID Number is 70105202.
	We participate in the technology fund raising program sponsored by Cartridge World by collecting empty inkjet and laser printer cartridges from our community.  Collected cartridges will earn the school money to be spent on technology materials and supplies. Please put all cartridges in Ziploc bags when you send them to school.

Plan for Continuous Improvement

Schools in the City of Virginia Beach prepare a comprehensive Plan for Continuous Improvement that is regularly reviewed and updated. The Plan for Continuous Improvement is a process for designing and implementing a plan for Continuous Improvement. It involves the collaboration of all Stakeholders and the primary focus is on improved student achievement.
