Language Arts:

• Continue identifying story elements- identifying main idea and supporting details of a selection; cause and effect; using graphic organizers to generate ideas for writing; editing; writing a fairy tale or folktale with a beginning, middle, and end; writing a paragraph using correct form; using correct punctuation in writing; capitalizing proper nouns; using past, present and future tense in writing; using ‘s for possessives; using a comma to separate things in a series, date and year; and using comparative and superlative forms of adjectives.  In addition, we will be learning to form cursive letters and beginning the transition from manuscript to cursive.
