My Class Mission:

Every day is a new beginning. We will explore and learn something new. My goal for the end of the school year is that each student will have a love for reading and is eager to gain knowledge.

Math:

We are very excited that we can play Everyday Mathematics at home. The Everyday Mathematics program helps students practice basic math fact. Please let me know when you want to visit the web page and I will send you the passwords.

 Reading:

Students are in reading groups and share books that are at their level. They are given reading strategies that they will be able to use to advance reading skills throughout early school years. Please read with your child so that they will develop a love for reading. The following word list will help him/her with fluency. Please practice.

Homework:

• Is sent home weekly.
• Please return homework notebook on Friday and it will be returned to your child on Monday with new work enclosed.
• Please read with your child each day. Provide opportunities for them to read to you.
• Please remember to check your child's folder daily and take out the papers that are being sent home.

General Information:

• If your child is going home ANY other way than normal for ANY reason, I must have the information change in writing. This is for your child's safety.
• The weather is always changing and our classroom is sometimes cool.  If you think it might be cool for your child please see that your child has a jacket or sweater. Please make sure their outerwear is visibly labeled.
• Folders should be checked and returned daily.
• Students love checking out library books. Please make sure books are returned on or before Thursday.
